Xiaofeng Wu is a Ph.D. student in Computational and Integrative Biology at Rutgers University–Camden, working under the supervision of Dr. Hong Fang. With a background in Materials Science and Engineering from Rutgers University–New Brunswick, his research focuses on solid-state electrolytes for next-generation batteries beyond lithium, including potassium-, calcium-, and magnesium-based systems. He combines bond valence site energy modeling, first-principles calculations, and machine learning-assisted molecular dynamics to investigate ion transport and accelerate materials discovery. His published work spans solid-state electrolytes, potassium-ion conductivity, and magnetic nanoclusters. He received the 2025 Rutgers Presidential Graduate Fellowship and aims to advance safer, more sustainable energy-storage technologies.
